At IBC 2025, Agama CEO Mikael Dahlgren talks with Stan Moore from IABM TV about how AI is simplifying video operations, ensuring secure deployments, and finding new possibilities in analytics and streaming delivery.
Cutting Complexity with AI
Stan (IABM): You’ve leaped into next-generation AI. Tell us about that.
Mikael (Agama): At Agama, we’re all about cutting complexity in video operations and distribution. AI offers fantastic new possibilities—but it’s not always easy to use. That’s why we started with focused use cases.Last year, we introduced “speak with our manual”, letting users simply ask questions—in any language—and get clear answers instead of digging through documentation. This year, we’ve gone further with “speak with my data.” Users can now prompt the system directly to find issues, check statistics, or even set up dashboards. It’s all about making daily use easier without extensive training.
Security and Control in AI Deployments
Stan: Some people are hesitant to adopt AI. How do you help them feel secure?
Mikael: Security and data integrity are critical – when you handle sensitive data, you need to have full control of it. Our customers use their own accounts with AI services, giving them full control and ownership. We also support air-gapped deployments for highly sensitive environments, as well as flexible options from on-premises to full cloud. This ensures AI can be safely applied, even when handling confidential or business-critical data. For any further questions in these domains, don’t hesitate at all to contact us and our experts will guide you.
Evolving Video Delivery
Stan: How do you see video delivery evolving over the next few years?
Mikael: The industry has changed enormously—20 years ago it was analogue versus digital, and now it’s a lot about streaming. Streaming brings new challenges in visibility and control compared to traditional cable or multicast, but Agama supports all delivery types. Where we’re most active is making content available to the market in the distribution. We help customers across the entire delivery chain, from content creation, through contribution, all the way to distribution and consumption. There are many steps there, but we cover them all.
Engagement and Content Analytics
Stan: One of the cool things you do is engagement analytics. Can you explain that?
Mikael: We provide both content analytics—which includes engagement—and product analytics. The key advantage is that these analytics can be added directly on top of existing integrations with our devices. Customers can start immediately without any and expand further later if they want.
