Linköping, Sweden and Shipley, United Kingdom, September 12, 2025 – Agama, the expert in video observability and analytics for service quality and customer experience, today announced the successful integration of its Agama CDM (Client Device Monitoring) with RDK Accelerator set-top boxes. This milestone was achieved by Consult Red, a leading innovation partner and RDK engineering specialist, which enables operators, OEMs, and SoC vendors worldwide to design, integrate, and deploy advanced video, broadband, and industrial IoT solutions.
The integration was achieved in record time – just a week, demonstrating both the maturity of the Agama platform and the technical expertise of Consult Red’s engineering team. The Consult Red team has pre-integrated the Agama EMP client to UVE Media player and RDK services for Lightning and HTML applications on RDK-V reference platforms, enabling faster integration and deployment of the Agama solution for RDK adopters. This allows for the monitoring of video application performance, capturing real-time playback events of content, Quality of Experience (QoE), Quality of Service (QoS), bitrate, analytics, and more. This initial work will be developed further to create an Agama RDK platform service integration to monitor all applications, system health, various events such as HDCP/HDMI, and gather information on peripheral devices such as remote controls. Working with Consult Red and Agama enables RDK operators to rapidly deploy monitoring capabilities, ensuring an optimal Quality of Experience (QoE) for their subscribers from the outset.
Consult Red will also speak about the ease of such integrations at IBC 2025 in Agama’s booth (1.B50) on Sunday at 17:15 for a first-hand look at how rapid RDK observability integrations empower operators and partners.
“We were impressed by Consult Red’s very skilled team, completing this integration in just days”, said Mikael Dalhgren, CEO of Agama. “For operators considering RDK, this showcases the speed now possible for integrations, accelerating time-to-value and ensuring robust service quality from day one.”
“We’re delighted to work with the Agama team to pre-integrate the Agama CDM for RDK-V reference platforms”, said Stuart Griffin, CEO of Consult Red. “The combination of our world-class software engineering team and Agama’s capable platform is a compelling combination for operators seeking video observability and advanced analytics.”
